It's Soooo Juicy!

I don't know if you realized that the Fezzari Alta Peak is equiped with hydraulic Avid Juicy brakes. This is a pretty sweet set up. I've been using mechanical disc brakes before but now I know why people love the hydraulics.

With mechanical brakes, you pretty much have to work on keeping your fingers pulling thus making your forearms pretty tired.

But with hydraulic brakes, you just need to tap it ever so gently. Not much effort there. In fact if you slam on the brakes, they react pretty well...too well. So be carefule with the hydraulic brakes, they might be too strong for what you're used to....oh they are so smooth!

Rear Shock Set Up

The Fezzari Alta Peak is set up with a RockShox Ario with Lockout and rebound. It's an air shock so that means you'll need to use a shock pump.

What ever you do, don't use compressed air to fill up your shock, you can blow the seals!

Ok so back to the set up. Since I'm pretty chunky, the set up recommends that I set the air pressure to my weight....and that's about a buck 90. But I found that 190lbs of air was way too stiff for me. So I lowered it to about 150lbs and set my rebound to the right setting for my liking.

If you're still confused on the set up and tunning, just check this link out for more information.

Took Out the Alta Peak

Yesterday I had some time in the morning and decided to take the Fezzari Alta Peak out for a ride on the world famous Fullerton Loop. I was only able to take one shot since my batteries died.

Fezzari Mentioned on CommuteByBike.com

The folks at CommuteByBike.com mentioned how they compared the Alta Peak to a Name Brand bike at a local bike shop and found that Fezzari was at least $500 cheaper!

I was at the LBS this weekend with a purpose to find a bike that is comparable
to the Fezzari Alta Peak.

As I searched the showroom floor I finally found a bike that was spec’d very close to the Alta Peak. Both bikes had the 4 bar suspension, same fork, a RockShox® Tora 302 100mm travel fork with 3-way adjust, Preload, Rebound, and Lockout.

Welcome to the Fezzari Bicycles Blog

Who am I? Well, people call me Fez. It's short for Fezzari. What the heck is does "Fezzari" means?

Fezzari Bicycles are High Quality, Low priced mountain bikes and road bikes.

Their bikes compare to those of name brands such as Specialized, Giant, Trek and many more. But here's the kicker, Fezzari bikes are at least half the price of the name brand bikes.
